After riding my kart most of the weekend the bearings in both front wheels are completely shot. I bought these from Bmi karts and thought they should hold up but I guess I was wrong. I broke a bearing on the jack shaft too and those were automotive bearings that were $10 each. Any suggestions on where to get some bearings that will last longer that one weekend?

If you are lucky enough to have a small 1 man shop who specializes in bearings, he would be the goto guy. I have one here, walk in with the remains of any bearing and he can replace it. Doesn't make any difference what it came out of, car. lawn mower, washing machine, you get the idea. Tell him what you are using it for, and he'll provide the best solution.

Check your yellow pages for Bearings. Call up a few shops and see you seems most interested in helping you out.

I got a couple of those BMI bearings with my jack shaft kit, junked them as soon as I saw them. :ack2:
