I need a set of front wheels for my Razor Buggy project. Pretty much I need the size of the typical Harbor Freight junk Dolly Wheels. 10" tall, 1/2" bore 3"or 4" wide. Everybody knows the H.F. ones are trash. What is a good brand or design to look for in that size or type of wheel?

Just call the folks at 'GoPowersports' .......they won't "steer" you wrong.....

EDIT: Just noticed a problem.....standard gokart wheels and bearings are 5/8" I.D. ....not 1/2"....so this may not be so simple after all....!!!!

DOUBLE EDIT: Actually this might not be that big a problem at all.....and maybe even advantageous....TSC sells steel spacers that are 1/2" I.D. and 5/8" O.D. Four of those in the shortest length...(probably 1"....but IDK..) then a section of 1/2" copper pipe cut to fit inbetween (even a teensy hair long....think crush tube)....

Oh 5/8 will be fine. I have not upgraded the spindles yet. Right now they are "like" 7/16 but metric.

Then call those folks....be sure to mention you're a DIY member....(if you decide to order from them.....after you get a quote! ) (Get price including shipping....)

But then feel free to shop around....but remember to check $+ $hipping!

And then consider that GoPowersports gives DIY members a 10% discount! !!!

I checked it out. I don't mean to be a cheapskate. But even with 10% off there must be something between $5.95 HF and GPS$49.95. Plus there website gives me an instant headache.

Ummmmm......and exactly which part of "CALL"...do you not understand?

First off: The HF wheel is "10 inch".....but is a 4" rim.....rare in gokart circles....but its possible that you can get a 5" tire/rim combo around the same height.....but I don't know what that is.....

Why I said CALL!!!!

Poboy: I don't like to CALL. People are weird! That is why I hang on this site where EVERYONE is perfectly sane and normal.:sarcasm: and Yes the size I am looking for is not typical for a gokart. But this is for my non typical build. :auto:I am replacing 8"tall tires on 4" plastic wheels.

Noise guy: Yes those are the junky Wheels that fall apart if you look at them funny:worried2:

Thanks T-man. That does look like a nicer wheel than the HF 10" two piece wheel,

So anyway I bought some today a the home depot. Marathon 10". They should be fine on a 3 hp yard kart, click my signature link to see what they are going on. :)
