2 hour drive a for a cheap kart like a Ody is not to bad. Just gas is.

Try to do anything you can to get him down. You were going to build a whole kart anyway. Ask about the pull starter. Those are spendy as well. Ask about rust in the tank. You do not the stock ody airbox and filter. Any filter that fits will work on the end of that carb.

I would call him not email. To easy to say no with email. Tell him it's a school project for sure. I will still give you $75 for the parts I listed before. Always offer some cash when trying to trade people on CL. That makes it easy to say yes. No cash they say no in must cases.

Have him meet you in Salem. But chances are you have to go there.

THIS IS A BIG PROJECT THOUGH.

I will help you get it running. I have a coil and wire/cap you can have. Just hope it has good compression. 99% sure I can clean that carb and get it working nice. Chances are he has the pipe for the pics in the add were taking at different times. Some have to motor basket on and some have it off. The bumpers are okay condition. Lot of times these get beat to all hell. This one has slight bend. Back frame rail and bars look good as well.

I traded for another Ody today. The bumper and back roll bar are beat up way worse.

Just get thgis ody man. If I cannot get it running I will trade or sale you my 340cc rupp sled engine. Complete with wire harness and costume pipe already made for the Ody. Cheap like $75 or trade for the bad ody engine. You got nothing to lose. With that beafy driven clutch you can run a sled engine no problems.

even to rebuild the top end is under $100.

A filter like this will work. (first pic) The last two pics are the motor I have. it was already in one of my ody's. I did not use it for I thought it would not run right with the homemade cutom exhuast made for the ody. I found out here it should be okay. It does run complete with carb and a kick *** sled clutch. The brackets are already custom made for the ody. This motor would be a strait drop in excluding the motor mounts. Which is a strait metel sheet. You could bolt or weld in. I would have offered you this engine before but you need the ody gear reduction box,axle,axle spacer,bearing carrier,hubs and driven clutch to run it. That stuff is would be to much. The Uegene Ody has it all just waiting to rip. Well you will need a seat LOL.

I could really use that spare reduction box and wheel cover right now. This is a no brainer if you can work it out. Hurry up.

i realize this is not on topic(for this post or the site) but what makes you think bittorrent is so bad? i have over 500 gigs of stuff from there and never gotten a virus from it. if you just go d/l willynilly and dont pay attn to comments then i suppose you could get a virus.
and if your so worried about virus' set up a dual os and use linux to d/l from bittorrent(or anywhere) also bittorrent and utorrent are basically the same thing. its a d/l client you d/l the same things through them both.

first off, 500gigs is the size of my hard drive ( LOL) thats alot of pirated stuff!! and i dont see why people keep posting about bittorrent. bittorrent and utorrent are pretty much the same thing. and it is off topic, so lets stop talking about it...

ok! first off bighead, i only have 100 bucks, so i cant really buy anything. ill have maybe, just maybe, 300 bucks by January. it is REALLY FREAKING FRUSTRATING seeing all these awesome deals on these Hondas and not being able to buy them. my parents would do anything to NOT give me money to help me with this, (they arnt really happy with me wanting a go kart anyways) i usually mow lawns because my family owns a lawn care business, but its kinda winter rite now so i cant mow any lawns where selling some furniture because of room switching with my siblings and my brother moving out. all together selling everything would be around $600. I'm helping with getting pictures of everything and getting them on CL and stuff and my mom said for helping her with all of it i get 25% of everything we get!!! so that's a plus!! and also that TV so 50 bucks for that, and then Christmas (which is always random amounts, ill just say $115...) so that might leave me with..... um... i don't have a calculator and i suck at math... i will figure it out later... oh and yes ill be able to take it to school, me and my auto tech teacher have become good friends and the shop is AWESOME!! there is a lot of stuff in there!! then im taking metals next semester, and they have even crazier stuff in there (and i will learn how to weld) also, if i have more projects outside of school, both my grandpas have workshops with welders. but one is a VERY minor hordor of cardboard and garage sale stuff ( you should see his RV garage!!) ( he doesn't have an RV...) confused and the other is really old and everything is dusty because he never goes and works...

Thats an ody from with custum cage and widened front bar. The one I am giving you looks kind of like that. Looks like a 13hp engine. This set up would work but do you have $400 for clutches?

i was thinking, if that lady still has that ody when i get 300 bucks, ill go get it, then swap everything into one good kart with your frame because that one is awesome, then make a cheap kart for my dad! LOL

My offer still stands to give you my ody chassis. You can do like the blue one you posted. But clutches are not cheap unless you can start off with a non TC clutch.
