I need a solution that will keep the crankshaft from spinning when torquing the flywheel. I've heard where some have drilled holes in a TC keyed driver backplate, but can't find anywhere to buy just that part. I don't want to shove rope down the spark plug hole to keep the piston from turning either. I want something thats keyed that I can bolt to the block. Any suggestions? Anybody got a spare driver gear backplate they want to sell? Thanks

the fixed sheave of a TC driver can be bought seperately from mfgsupply.com
BUT only as an original Comet part for all I know..
and it's almost cheaper to buy a full TAvKit on ebay from china

But you can buy 3/4" keyed type B or C sprockets in nearly any kart shop.
A piece of chain bolted to some barstock can nicely wrap around such sprocket as a makeshift handle
(IDK what chain size those oil filter wrenches use but if it by chance is #35 or such... those might come in handy too)
