Hello everyone. I am starting to collect parts for our second build, the first is a real rig; converting an electric razor to gas with my grand son.
Almost done. I ran across what I think was a great deal on a "Racing Frame" for $125.00.
So I ordered it, before checking anything. It looked great. The person who sold it said it was used in one race. I asked the model and he replied that it is a 2008 Coyote SS.
Armed with this info I began scouring the internet for any info I could find. I wound up here and although I see many people asking and receiving help I did not find anything on this particular chassis. I have contacted Coyote and so far have heard nothing back. I am including some pictures (if I figure out how) and I have the Chassis ID which is where the Coyote Site says it should be. It also says Coyote SS on the sides but it is very hard to see. Sort of like a flatter color than the frame. I tried matching it to pictures of other frames but have two pieces I cannot find anywhere. A third, bearing attachment (I hope it's right) about center for the rear axle and the inner bar that runs along the right side bar isn't quite like the others. Shorter or something.
I think this is long enough for now. Thank you for your time.
I would appreciate any info that can help me ID this and get started.
Chassis ID: 1008035 and under the numbers: SS

Sounds like you have positive ID on the frame--I don't understand what you don't find satisfactory about that information. Sounds like you have found a serial number (7 digits) and a model designation.

The inner bar on the right side is obviously a reinforcement for the engine mount. And the centerline bracket for an additional rear axle bearing is wise--the benefit to that would be to minimize axle whip--A shaft with a long over hang can start to whip or flail at the end or the unsupported areas if it is over loaded.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I guess the problem lies in that although I have surmised some of what you say, I still cant find anything about the frame.
I do have the Chassis ID. But I can't figure out what to do with that. Aside from the SS model I can't extract anything else from it. In other words, what good does it do to have that?
I have done countless searches for Coyote SS and 2008 Coyote SS. I can't find a single reference or part list, drawing, or anything at all. Not even a picture of what it would look like.
Neither can I see a Kart with that center line bearing mount. I gathered that is what it is and the reason when I read that it's an option or weld on part you can add to help with tail whip.
The inner rail: motor mount, When I say it's different is that I tried comparing pictures of frames to this one and this one seems shorter.
I apologize for rambling and for my ignorance. This is my first real experience with a real kart. My previous Frankenstein conversion barely qualifies. So most of what might seem to be plain to some of you is still new ground for me.
Thank you again.

I see a lot of views (58) and only hellions answer.
Those two lead me to think that either no one knows what the SS is, what to do with the serial number, or where to get a drawing, spec sheet or parts list for the 2008 Coyote SS.
Or and this is most likely, that I am asking the proverbial "stupid question". Am I supposed to know something that should be obvious here that has eluded me? Maybe what I am asking simply doesn't exist in the world of Karting.
I've been reading up on these build-offs and might try for that if I can gather the parts by the start date but at this pace, my super anal personality is frozen. No idea where to begin.
Thanks guys and gals.

Sorry man, but don't worry there's nothing your missing! I just want to know why you need the parts for that kart? I can see that some of the parts this needs are very generic so you could grab them online (universal is a better word there) but some things may need to be fabricated :D

Thank you. I think you spared me the (insert belittling expletive) agony. Believe it or not, that makes sense. Now anyways. I was thinking that you had certain sizes, specs, and what not that were needed when choosing the parts to build it. I think what you're saying is, that it doesn't have to be like it was back in 08 or whenever they rolled it out of the shop. I have a frame. So I just need to build MY creation. Hehe. Dang I feel like a red blushing emote somewhere.
Thanks all.

Lots of racers there who can probably help you.

I'll give it a look. But I think I understand now. Besides they may not be as nice over there.
Thanks
