Have 3 boys (13, 11 and 5). The oldest two are begging for a go-kart for Xmas. I am not particularly handy and don't see myself building one. But my online research hasn't provide much insight about the top brands and their quality.

If you were going to purchase a go-kart -- preferably one with a roll-bar -- and you wanted it to last for at least 10 years, what would you purchase. This is for use on dirt tracks and trails.

Thanks for your help.

Have checked your local craigslist, kijiji, or gumtree (depending on where you live)?

For trails you will want to look into one with suspension. Get a kart, maybe fix it up, and take care of it, I'm sure it will last ten years.

:iagree: Yerf & Manco are the big ones & one of those used will outlast anything new these days; the majority of new karts/buggies are chinese
