I have a carter go kart I just picked up the other day. I'm having issues while driving, go kart will randomly turn to the right. The left wheel is not sitting the way is should. It's bald on the inner left tire. I figure I have to heat up the spindle and bend it so the tire has positive camber. Is this a common problem with go karts?

Not if it was built correctly. Chances are it's hit something. Post some detailed pics so we can see where the problem is; it may be as simple as a bent tie rod.

X2 what he said. If only one tire sits like that, chances are, its a bent spindle. A co-worker of mine has a carter that has both wheels that way, and thats how he bought it new. Ya never know. After riding it, he asked me to adjust the rod ends, but that wasnt gonna fix it. I ground off most of the weld on spindle and tapped them to the correct angle then rewelded. Now it rides and turns great and no more half used tires.... hope that helps....

I thought it was a bent spindle, I don't know what else it could be. When I took the spindle off it looked straight to me. I didn't know if maybe that shock was worn it could do it also. If I had welding stuff I would just fix the weld, I will probably have to torch the bolt and bend it down with a pipe. Also does anyone have any experience with the spindles that northern tool sells? Worst case if it breaks.
