Hello and welcome..... This thread should be in the general section...

As far as the motor goes... It looks like you have the gov in, and you have direct throttle hooked up... Ie you bypassed the gov??? If so it/you might have a problem soon with the con-rod rapid dissection ...

You must be turning around 5700 rpm at the moment to be doing 37, if you can get that up to 7000 or so safely, (billet flywheel territory) then you should get the speed you want.

Stiffer valve springs to prevent valve float, higher rpm cam, and again, billet flywheel for safety once you start getting too high into the rpms.

As landuse said though, a ~$52 TC off ebay might satisfy you if you wanted to try it. You would probably need a 14T sprocket on a TC to get near the speed you want though, and that might be belt burning territory as well.

Is it a Hemi?
How is the acceleration from a stop currently?

How much money you want to spend?

22 lb valve springs (18 if non-hemi),
8 degree Offset timing key.
CM Grind camshaft

Stock Flywheels have been known to fail. So turning a stock flywheel 7000+ RPMs is risky business. Others have turned stock flywheels faster without issue.

Or get the 22lb springs (18 if non-hemi), offset timing key, keep the stock cam and try a 30 series TC (6" driven Pulley) with a 13T Jackshaft sprocket.

60 :13 with 11" tires and the 30 series TC will put you at 47mph at 6k RPM. The stiffer springs and offset key will help you get more power at higher RPMs.

If using a non-hemi, you can also try the cheap stamped 1.3 :1 ratio rockers, which will also help give you more power at higher RPMs. These may require shorter pushrods.
