Hello everyone,

I was hoping someone that knows more than I do about these machines might be able to help me figure out what I have here. I got this machine about a week ago. It has been intentionally burned and all identifying stickers are gone. It needs some parts to get it back to its former self.

It looks like parts are out there but I don't want to spend money on parts that are not right.

It has a 6 hp tecumseh engine with a torque convertor style clutch system. A mechanical brake with what looks like an emergency brake handle??? It has an adjustable seat and a headrest pad attached to the roll bar. The front tires are 145/70-6. It has suspension with coil over shocks.

I found a picture online of a similar looking kart made by Manco, but this one has remains of a sticker on the roll bar that says "Rattler" on it.

I'm attaching some pics and any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. I want to get this going for my son. He is turning 7 soon and it's time he had a big boy toy. :)

:surrender:

Thanks Souperman and Rocklobster61!

Do these things have a number stamped into the frame anywhere like a car or am I just over thinking it? The one I found online was a Manco EZ Rider Model 906C. That looks really close to what I have. I understand they made these and tagged them with all sorts o different names. So is the Condor a Manco product as well?

What is the best place to get parts? In particular the coil over shocks. One is broken, one is bent, and I'm sure the other two are shot as well. But there are about an infinite number of possibilities for shocks. Is there something a little beefier I can put on it that will be a direct bolt in? The look to be about 12" eye to eye.

Thanks again!!!

qtband, Thanks. Your pics help! The only difference I see is my steering linkage is below and under (behind)??? the control arms. Also my floor pan wraps up the front about 4 inches or so. Other than that it looks really similar. Thanks!!

If you can, post a pic of yoursteering set up. I'd like to see it and compare it with mine.

Thanks! My kart has different A-arms on it. Plus, the camber is so bad I had to cut the weld where the spindle attaches and straighten the spindle out to reduce the camber. A quick re-weld and I'm at about 10 degrees of camber. Keep posting your progress. When you get to ride it, it will ride nice!

Looks like a Manco to me. Was that Kart in a fire? It looks like it. If it was, there might be some concern with tempering and frame cracking when put back into use.

Fire

Thanks for all your advice qtband!! I will post my progress.....

Sinbad001, yes, it was most certainly deliberately torched!! Not sure why someone felt the need to do that. But if they had not, I would not have gotten this kart for 50 bucks!!!! So, thank you Mr.Firebug, whoever you are!!! Lol....

I do plan to sandblast the frame once it's all apart, so after it's all clean I should be able to see better if there are any issues with the metal.

The pivot bracket that holds the rear axle and engine mounting plate looks like it's been repaired before and not very well, so I will be doing some clean up of bad welding and some strengthening in a few places.

Thanks for your concern though, a well thought out point!!
