need help with hubs

is there any way to make your own hubs? i have access to a welder and a mill but i dont know how to go about making it. does anybody have any ideas? Thanks...

You need a press (not a mill) of several ton capacity.

Yes, wheel hubs. The problem I have is that my wheels are too wide to fit directly on my axle. The only other option I can think of is is to find a way to extend my axle(which would be nearly impossible right?)

One simple option might be to just buy a wider axle. Just in case were overlooking a simpler solution here, can you post some pics showing your axle and the problem with the rims your trying to mount?

its my high school engineering project so ill have to take the pics tomorrow... the reason I want to do this is because i have some old wheels that were free and are the size i want and i dont want to buy new tires and rims.
