Also, make sure you have information on how to install these parts, and exactly what you are doing.

@jcotz: the clone rod and cam for 99% of the 196cc clones are the same as the gx200 cams.

However, the harbour freight 212 pretator has a different cam and rod (bigger cam and crank journals)

@monkeys1990: the kits seem good value, but only if you are going to use all the parts.
Make sure you have a torque wrench, ideally a small and large rating one (I.e. In lb one and ft lb one) but one will do.

The head and raceseng wheel are good ideas.
Please let us know how you get on with the raceseng wheel- I want to know if they are really worth $50 more than the original arc one.

Oh, I was thinking of the 212cc harbor freight. Also- Monkeys1990, if you spend the money on the expensive flywheel and rod, make sure you actually remove the governor.

Lol /\
I thought I would add: I am planning on a similar build to yours, so far I have a BSP-1 cam, flat top piston, header + muffler, air filter and adapter. I plan to mill my 22cc head, and hopefully get an arc wheel and rod, along with 18lb springs. I will probably be researching some fairly similar stuff to you.
I don't plan on 80 though, I will be happy with 40, just need torque!!!

Make sure you keep us updated on your build

i have heard depending on the RPM you run at, you may nead a nylon oil dipper so there is no breakage to worry about.

That's only a problem on briggs engines, on the hondas and clones the oil dipper is cast as part of the rod, of course with a billet rod there is no problem

Well its yellow alright ;)
There are just subtle differences. The yellows are usually closer to the maximum and minimum values required in box stock, and therefore put out more power than your bog standard blue. Not a lot more.

Buying from new, I would go for a yellow 'ducar'.
Search for 'the battle of the clones' on 4cycle (sorry!) a member called sneaks compares a lot of clones and the Honda.

I have a clone that is red. Its just paint!
They come in all sorts of colours, but I think the yellow 'Ducar' brand ones are the best spec IIRC.
