lol..... i havent ran the thing in like 4 years lol. its my chain from like 6 years ago and it just sat. just got her running now and have a new one on the way ;)

Dam get some new chain. That stuff has obviously never been lubed. Does it have a nice crunch sound when racing it XD

and to answer your question yes lol. the jackshaft output has a broken tooth so it has an exception sound. that was a pic before i got it up and running actually have the chains sitting right in front of me along with the sprockets.

is there anything i can do to get some age off the chain or is there no saving it? quite honestly? low budget due to college costing wayyyy too much lol

I wouldnt worry about it to tell you the truth as new chain for the whole kart will only cost you like 10 bucks max. Should be around 2-3 bucks a foot. If u really wanna save it get some old engine oil, boil it up in a tin can and soak the chain in there. Let it boil for a good half hour then let it cool down and just leave it in there for a day or two. The oil will penetrate the chain and work its way into all the little links n stuff. Should make it usable again.
