This is how I did it. Only works with stock filter and gas tank removed. You have to take the starter cover off and drill holes for the bolts to go thru. Use big washer on both sides of the starter for the metal is thin and will flex some with just the bolts and small washers.

BUT

This page may help you.

You can make that rod pretty easy. Just need to figure out how long. The set up on the bottom is what I used.

I had to buy the cable holder and the cable stop. about $5 at Ace Hardware.

Remember that the clone throttle has to push open. So you need a pivit point it making custom setup. A normal throttle cable wants to pull open.

That metal tab coming off the starter cover in the last pic holds the choke on. The last pic also shows my stock clone air filter hack sawed up to make a DIY air cleaner manafold.

good to hear.

heres what i did, but you will need a return spring added.

uses a bike brake cable, sleeve retainer from a caliper off a mountain bike, and a crimp nut also taken off a brake caliper.

same way my baja warrior's throttle came from factory, (its the bike in the pic not the quad) and it doesnt have a return spring other than the weak one thats already on the engine, i plan to put another one on.
