need help with build

I have decided to go with a 16 HP duromax engine and the comet 40 tq. But before I buy everything I need help with what exacty to get for the tq and jackshaft. Should I get the jackshaft kits off eBay and then just make sure my tq has the right size pully. What size minimum should I use. I have a heavy 2 seat buggy style kart.

There are two sizes of pulleys for the 40 series driver- the 40 series and the 44 series drivens. IIRC the 44 series give more low end.
You need a 3/4" diameter jackshaft.

Thank you. I guess the belt size will be determined on my jackshaft placement

The belt top width is 7/8"
