Need help with belt on trail master mid xrx

Hello new to the forum in search of help with my kids go cart. It’s a trail master xrx mid. The go cart shredded the belt at 20 hrs. I got a replacement at the dealer and it squealed and slips like crazy. It is already damaged. I know nothing about centrifugal clutches but build my own motors on my 2 strokes so I have some mechanical knowledge. Need help getting started or what to look for. Thank you.

Be sure you have the correct belt. Avoid the Chinese belts. The Yak hair fibers and rice glue used in them does not hold up well.
Buy a Comet belt. BTW that is not a centrifugal clutch.

Only use Genuine Comet belts!!!! Also only use powdered graphite or molybdenum to lube the clutches!!

All the above advice is correct. Now that your driver is all gummed up with belt dust ( normal, but happens quicker with the cheap belts ) and its apart anyway, get some brake parts cleaner and scotch bright, or fine emory cloth. Get everything slick and clean, and bone dry. Lubricate with a dry product as suggested by Denny. NO oil or grease of any kind.
