Need help repairing frame on a mb200 trailmaster

well the previous owner was an idiot and cut the frame to fit a torque converter. whats the best way to get this fixed?

he was.. the Torque converter fits without cutting anything ;)

Well to fix:
copy the opposite side as closely as possible..

if you need to "buttweld" two tubes, it's easiest to make a small insert first (short length of tube, to help align and strengthen the weld)

IDK from on top of my head how the MB looks down there tbh...
but again, just copying the opposite side is a good place to start ;)

yea ima do that. i need to find a tube that fits inside that hole first. its not 7/8s tubing. looks like 1 in tubing with .975 walls

I've used small pieces of cold roll steel too, or just do the whole piece of solid round bar just bend cut long insert and lap weld it.
