Hello everyone I am completely new to karting and I want one over a dirt bike.

So far I have 2 choices , 1. Go for a 212 cc predator go kart for 220$ , Pics: http://gyazo.com/cd0f0a889c7aa382e8290fc7639d3e56
http://gyazo.com/8199d0ec05e67443b8171e4d95537074

Or should I go with a 1,000$ shifter Kart , its 100cc Yamaha wet clutch fully race ready digital display , but it needs new oil seal on wet clutch , is that hard to do ?
Heres Pics:

Is the price tag worth it on either and especially on the shifter ? I am very interested in it , but I dont know if its in good shape and is there any special maintenece I'll have to be doing ?

Please respond asap because I dont know how long either of these offers will stay!

Thank you!

Thanks for the quick reply! But yes to both?

Its a hard choice I want the shifter But i'm scared if I encounter problems i wont know how to fix them. What are your thoughts on the shifter? Is it a 100% I should get it kind of thing?

First of all that shifter kart is really not a shifter kart as it only has one gear so no shifting is involved.

Second is you do know you HAVE to have a separate starter for the kt100 correct ? So if it dies or you don't have a second person handy every time you want to start it your gonna be looking at it til somebody shows up.

Third is if your getting it to just ride around then get the cheaper one

Fourth of your gonna go and get a full race gear and go to the track than do the kt100 race kart cause its not gonna just putt around without having maintenance issues.

Thank you.

The guy just said he has a starter box for it and he can do it alone?

Also he claims that it goes like 100mph on the straight , so I can't use it for anything besides the track? I have like a super side walk thats like 5 miles long and is next to a highway and its designed for biking but its wide enough for dirt bikes and what not? Or that wouldn't be ideal?

I Just want to be a speed demon tbh , but if kt100 is to much for me ill go with the cheaper one

If you hear how loud and smoky it is being your going through a residential or highway non approved area I would really consider the cheaper one. I also would not want to do anything close to that speed on a sidewalk ! Not to mention the cops getting you.

And please finalize your profile so we know what area your in at least. This forum is all over the world. Surprised they havent got you for it yet. Really hard to say if the pricing is right without it.
