I was recently given this frame and I’d like to make a build out of it but I would like to know if anyone may know what make and model this is.
Thank you.

I have a go kart that has a frame that looks close to that.
My frame is a Carter Brothers frame very similar to that one.

Someone else will chime in I'm sure with a more accurate description.
I could be wrong but looks like a Carter Brothers frame.

It does look like someone welded extra support bars on the steering column.

Thank you.

I was buying a kart for our daughter this past weekend and the guy gave me this black frame, I was able to find an ID tag on the other cart and it was in fact a carter.

I started looking this one up and I also thought it looked like a carter but I hadn’t see any of them with the 3 bars going back to the axle tube in any of the pictures.

I am brand new to karts so I should be fun building this one but I really need help figuring out what driveline I need for it and how I go out figuring out what one I need.
Thank you.

If that is a Carter frame like the one that I have it will take a 3/4 in axle .
Also mine do not have the three bars either in the back, someone may have welded the extra bar.
I did replace the back axle bearings of course they were three quarter inch inside diameter but you will have to measure the outside diameter if it takes a 3/4 inch axle.

do you think the best place to get parts for it would be to just order from go power sports .com?

There are a lot of places you can get parts from. GPS are ok. I get most of my parts from BMI go-kart parts, mostly because they have what I need.

And you'll probably find yourself shopping at many websites. Because of parts availability, price differences and such.

Good luck on your build, always ask questions there are many people here to help if you ask.

Alan I have never seen that style of frame before. I have no idea what they are but cool! Almost reminds me of an old 1/4 midget or sprint cart. 6.5 should be enough to move it at around 35 mph or so depending how you build the engine.
