Need Help Identifying Vintage Go Kart

First of all i'm new here i'm sorry if this is supposed to be posted somewhere specific. Please let me know if it is so i can move it and repost.

I have this old go kart that i'm in the middle of fixing up and i'm trying to figure out the model/company. It looks like a Rupp or Clark but it has some small differences from both (for example the bottom of the steering column has another piece of tubing, the steering arms in the front have an extra support on each, the pedals are slightly different, etc.)

If anyone has an idea of what it is it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Thats kinda cool...

Off hand.. one of the first things Id do, is change the position of the recoil, to a more accessible position... mainly so it doesnt further destroy the seat cover by rasping at it with the pull cord... as it has been viciously done thus far..

Good idea, i'm not sure if thats what caused the damage to the back of the seat - the whole seats in pretty bad condition im going to replace it - but ill do that anyway just to prevent it in the future

Cool thank you im guessing it is or something similar, it looks so similar to those but is just slightly different for some reason

I have seen this very often and I don't know why people don't just unbolt and turn around the recoil. that was the first thing i did on my 212.

A lot of kart owners have actually zero mechanical experience. They just buy a kart for their kids to ride, but if something goes wrong they are clueless and park it in the garage for 10yrs.

So most people would not even realise that turning the recoil around is even possible. For all you know they could have been trying to protect the seat as much as they could but got some damage anyway.

But then maybe I am just being philosophical this morning

I'm not sure.. If I had to make a guess it'd be a
Clark Cyclops 330

Main reason: if it'd be a Rupp Dart (which at first and second glance looks mostly identical)
the stinky predator is not only blasphemic it'd alos require a good deal of redrilling and refabbing to attach it to the two-stroke-powered Rupp

if you can remove the engine and show us the motor mount, we might be able to tell for sure.
if it's butchered someone did a bad booboo
if it's stock it's no Rupp but very likely a Clark Cyclops

I have the same kart

I have the same kart. Just got it from my cousin. Its been in the family forever and has never ran well. Fixing it up. I have a post about it called "Building my first kart:Verifying ideas". I'd love to know the exact make/model of it too. Mine looks slightly different. Near the front wheels. The black braces near the front are red on my kart and also have a much lower profile angle. The engine mount is just a peice of metal with 4 elongated holes for minutely moving the motor around for adjustments.

Did some research and i think its a Clark Cyclops 440. Its slightly different than the 330. Very similar though
