I did post the one "identify" thread. I also reached out to Infiniti and sent some pictures of the frame. They claimed it was not something they made. You've got an Offset chassis kart that was designed for racing on oval tracks.
The https://4cycle.com/karting/ website specializes in the dozens of different brands that made offset chassis racekarts over the years.
If you go to that site and simply enter "Crossfire" into their search window, you'll find serveral posts about Crossfire racekarts, including 2 threads have pics of your exact primer painted kart.
I don't know if one your karts previous owner posted those 2 threads, or if you did; But either way, I read all the Crossfire threads on that site and the most seemingly credible info I found was an old 2013 thread claiming the Crossfire racekarts were manufactured by a Company called Infiniti, to be sold buy some other racekart shop called Ryan Wilson motorsports. Here's a link to that thread: https://4cycle.com/karting/threads/did-mike-ward-have-any-association-with-crossfire-chassis.5033
How worried should I be about this? Not to hyjack, but for a commercially produced "racing" frame, the welds have issuesView attachment 140956
I wouldn't be to concerned since the paint isn't cracked and it's an older chassis that would of broke them with the twisting of the frame if it was an issue. How worried should I be about this?

As a QA manager it wouldn't of left my factory like that
I wouldn't be too worried either about the welds. They look "good enough" for a racing kart although I would be interested what kind of "Tier" of racing frame it represents. By that I mean price range, intended use (fastest speeds and expert tier or intended for junior racers) and so forth and that might determine the build quality, or lack thereof.
Edit your post again, friend. Of isn't a verb.
If it is, I of a six pack of beer in the fridge with your name on it.

Nope he don’t! But we still like him!checks my location.....By GOD TN.....reckon you don't speak Appalachian
I like free![]()
Why has no one has mentioned the super hot & spinning clutch, that would be right next to the drivers arm?
Would a guard, even be enough protection? (mechanical & thermal)![]()
I do have a chain guard, the previous owner never installed it.Because we like DANGER!
There's typically a clutch/chain guard there, but the drivers also wear a long sleeved suit at the same time so he or she will feel slow warmth through the cloth instead of an abrupt sting and singed flesh if he or she were driving naked. That's a pretty good safety margin provided the standards are adhered to.
Also, driver is seated on the left side of a kart that is designed to turn left, go straight and turn left again. Engine is on the right. Wonder how it would be if it was pushed to the far right to where it is directly in front of the right rear tire? Wouldn't it be better to be mounted on the left side of a kart designed to turn left, or am I totally wrong here?
