Need help identifying Briggs Engine

On the shroud it says 6b-hs 900299 5805150. I just want to find the year and the hp rating.

I've never been an expert with Briggs, I try to stick with Tecumseh and Honda. Still they are solid engines when they run.

Check that number again.
Include all numbers and spaces or dashes.
Probably from late 50's or early 60's. Perhaps 2 hp?
It was the first aluminum block horizontal Briggs other than the model ZL (9 hp monster). Made in huge numbers.
Tons of them still around.

I looked all over the engine and those were the only numbers i could find.

do you have a pic of your engine or can you find a pic anywhere and give a link, thoses numbers are not like briggs that i know. from the numbers you gave the year of manufacture is 1958

Got plans for it?
Not much can be done as far as a gokart is concerned.
If I remember correctly...this model had a metal fuel line running from tank to carb.
Low and high speed needles were located on top of carb body.
