Need help finding rear axle set

I finally cut off this 3/4 inch rear axle that was stuck. Where can I buy a replacement rear axle set like this one? It's 3/4 inch diameter all the way through with bearings about 29 inches apart. The brake disc appears to be welded down on the axle. In the picture is where the driving chain spins the axle.

Why did you cut it? DuckDuckGo is your friend as is BMI Karts, GoPowerSports and similar. Show us what kart it is.
No telling what the previous owner 'Bubba' did to it, assuming the kart is used, but the only thing that should be 'welded' is the frame members.

The axle is completely stuck. The 3/4 inch axle goes through an one inch tubing frame with bearings on both ends, but the previous owner also added a ring that is exactly 3/4 inches with very tight tolerance, which I just cut out in the first picture

Probably a Carter Brothers kart.

This axle may fit, it's 3/4" but I don't know what overall length you need....

It would be really helpful if you could identify the model. 3/4" axle 38 inch length. As you can see from the previous picture, the chain/gear attached to a bulky piece that's key locked to the axle, which is now cut off and sits on the floor. I'm hoping to find the exact rear axle set.

It looks very much like a modified Carter Bros 1135 ZX/KX. Or it could be stock -- never seen a brush guard/roll cage like the one that is on it. Presuming I am incorrect, you can identify it as good as anyone and I won't have to beg you for a dozen more photos... Start here:

Single seat karts all start with a "1" and two passenger karts start with a "2".

Here's my guess:

EDIT: Part number 27 "G314 Axle 3/4" x 38 1⁄4" is probably correct if the 1135 is your kart. So you might be off by 1/4"

...I'm hoping to find the exact rear axle set...

Anything is possible in regards to finding an exact replacement. Carter Brothers karts are very common...

However, non-matching off-the-shelf parts, like the one I linked in post #4, are why we have local machine shops, usually hidden away in the industrial side of town, to make 'em fit. You could have it shortened, threaded (more threads if needed) and broached (for a keyway), etc.

Otherwise ... you have some work ahead of you to measure yours for the proper specs you need and get a custom one from BMI:

What Denny is tryin' ta say is something like:

That exact rear axle set
...hasn't been made (manufactured) in a very long time (sometimes/maybe as long as, 20 yrs ago)

Many times places like BMI Karts or Go Power Sports (& others) have compatible/acceptable replacements

Wait til Monday (during biz hours 9 - 5)
...& give 'em a call
...or even better, E-mail them (with your pics) ;)

* Most of these places have their "contact us" info (like phone # & E-mail address) on their web sites
&
They have very helpful folks (professionals)
...who know what's available, for older karts (like yours)
...& should be able to help "get you goin" :auto:

Super helpful! Thank you. The other guy ID it and found me the diagram that is good enough for me to get started.

I second what Functional Autist was a' sayin'. His advice on customer service was spot-on....

Call them (BMI, GoPowerSports or whoever). Remember when phones were used exclusively for voice communications and in real-time? 🤯
It's mind blowing, man. People who only use email get frustrated when they don't get an answer in 10 seconds.

For further info for the lurkers and to beat a dead horse, our good friends at MFG Supply have a listing for such an axle:

Still love their $6.99 flat rate shipping (which sadly does not apply to this axle)... You can fill up a big box of non-oversize items and still pay 6.99.

I got the 3/4 axle, and a brake rotor disc with. 1" hole. What is the name of the ring that goes in between them?

There is a ring with a key slot I need to attach the disc brake with a 1" hole to the 3/4" axle.

Hey, F-A, quit trying to make it easy for the poor chap. 😁 It's possible to mount a disc with a 1" bore to a 3/4" axle, if you have a hub. I think his disc brake is visible in photo #3.

In any event, more and better photos of what he has would be nice.
