need help finding engine info

i'm thinking about buying an engine off craigslist, but the kid doesn't have a lot of info for me except. it's off a snow blower, has electric start, is 110cc, and model number is d571e ans serial is 148523. he doesn't know the make of the engine or the snow blower. google isn't helping me find anything with what info I have.

Do you know if it's a 2-stroke or 4? Keep at the seller- How can he possibly not have ANY info on the snowblower? Even a couple clear pics would help...
EDIT- I just googled the model number, and found a reference to a Lawn-Boy unit. Still looking...

Unless you are very experienced, would be best to avoid it.
I mounted a Lawn-boy "D" series once but, did not road test it.
Engine is not very stable.

That's what we're here for. Hey Russ, That's a model "D" engine, right? Is it actually 110cc as stated, or larger?

Interesting. So what was the "instability" issue that led to the project's early demise all about?

I coulld never get the "D" to run smoothly at anything below 2100 rpm for various and sundry reasons.
In the meantime I came across a model "F" which was far more kart worthy, (and in better shape) and was more deserving of my efforts.
If I had known at the time that the Duraforce (model "E") existed, I would have put all my monies behind that.
The Duraforce is a clone killer.
