I am about to turn a two seater YERF DOG into an electric go-kart.
I plan on using a 48V MARS EM0709 motor.
My main question is what are the best options for batteries?
My options thus far are:
1. Exide / Sonnenschein Battery A512/55. 12 Volt, 55 Ah. Deep-cycle gel ($ 75 ea)
2. Rhino Wheelchair Battery 12V 35Ah Size U1 Deep Cycle ($74 ea)
3. Chrome Battery 12V 24AH Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Battery for SEALED DEEP-CYCLE ($70 ea.)
4. Rhino 12V 18Ah Deep Cycle ($45 ea).
Any other advice on batteries would be appreciated.
If I run a high Ah batter will I get more run time? Just starting out on this and I don't want to drop most my budget in batteries.
I plan on running 4 12V batteries in series, will it be too many Amps if I run series parallel?
Any info is much appreciated......
