Need advice from the Kart Guru's

This is a short video of my Manco Magnum Express Kart project I am currently working on. This Kart will have a 84 Honda 200s ATC motor and 5 speed drivetrain. The 11 tooth sprocket coming off the gearbox is a 520 pitch 11 tooth sprocket. and 4" set back from where I would like to be. was thinking of going 11 tooth to 11 tooth jackshaft in 520, then to my 35 tooth 520 driven sprocket. My Questions are, What do you see being the best way to connect my setup together 2. If anyone has mounted a set of ATV tires 22x11x8 on a magnum express kart? 3. Has anyone built anything close to this in the forum and how did it work out? Thanks in advance guys.

is that the one with 5 high 5low gearbox, like mine? I know mine is a 200 from a Honda atc, but don't remember which one..... I got some pics of what I was working on, somewhere on this forum. I put one on a crossfire kart. It too will need a jackshaft to put the drive chain behind the axle, then to the axle. The chain can't go straight down, the engine sits almost exactly like yours does.....
I will dig up the pics in a little bit or just search for "crossfire" in the forum, and look for the thread started by like a year ago.....

yes it is 5 down (upshift) 5 up (downshift) pics on how you set yours up would be sweet. It's gonna be cool when I get it done and I am documenting on video as I go. Ill search for it also, Thanks

Re: tyres, your calculations are correct on the width but, did you consider, due to the additional height, the tyres will sit 2" farther up the shock? What is the clearance at that point?

Having said that, tyres are one of the hardest things to calculate because they're flexible; just because they fit when the kart isn't moving doesn't mean they won't rub on anything once the kart is moving; all I can say is try it...

One alternative is to see if the ATV rims fit on the kart; if they mount up & have more positive offset, they should work ok...

Where your engine sits, it almost looks like you could go straight to the axle if if was inline with it. The way mine sits, I have to go towards the rear with a jackshaft. The po welded the sprocket onto the axle.....
If you have clearance to run your chain straight to the axle sprocket, I'd suggest fabbing up a new engine mount so you can put the driven sprocket in line with the drive sprocket.
If nothing else, weld some plate to the rear and set up a jackshaft then fabricate an extended bumper....

What a ghetto hack job!!!! He had me thinking "that could work" up until the sprocket extension/ adaptor. What!?!?! Open bearing's, no seals, with a home brew adaptor that he had to paint to make it look usable, that supposedly is rated for just how many RPM? And he openly admits that it's mounted using a modified muffler clamp? That doesn't even start on what his intended final drive ratio might be......WTF....
