Especially true for off-road karts, a TC is always better.

The price of a custom slutch that big is probably a good part of what a different, adaptable engine would be!

I found a nos secondary clutch from a john deere snowmobile, I researched it and found that it is infact a 90d comet secondary, only thing is it is a 7/8" bore, the 90d's available now are 3/4" bore. The machining of the shaft to 1" is starting to sound more appealing. So much for thinking I would just rework the motor mount and slap on the new engine.....:ack2:

Ok I have made some purchases. I bought some 7/8 mounted bearings, and a sproket, and I did buy that John Deere 90d secondary. I will be getting the 94c for my driver clutch. How should I determine the spacing and the belt? any help?

I think I would measure my driven and see if that diameter matches a stock 94c driven. If so, you should be able to use the same dimensions for a complete 94c set up. JMO.
