For 1 how do you move the spring position on a comet 30 driven clutch. 2 which spot keeps it in low gear longer? I am looking to get a little better take off. with out regearing anything.

What i have now is a 6.5 clone with a 6.1 ratio and 22" tires. I have a comet 30 tc on it as well.

I believe it is hole 3...but wait for someone else to chime in. To move the spring, you remove the nut on the JS, then the retaining ring (snap ring). This should cause the cam to pop off either under its own power, or with a bit of wiggling. Then you just insert the spring into the new hole, and retension it. Replace the retaining ring and nut and you're good to go.

Adjusting the driven will to nothing for your takeoff- it affects the top end. You may be able to adjust the driver for later engagement to improve your launch. Looking at your engine and tire size, don't expect too much.

weights in the primary need to be changed for a higher rpm engagement. However a stronger spring in the driven will keep the system in "low gear" for a little while longer.

No problem. I know on the Comet 40 you can replace the weights and springs with alternate ones to achieve this. I've never played with a Comet 30, so I'm not sure if it's the same way.

I don't think there is anything you can do on a comet torque converters that will help you with better take off, that would have to be done in your gearing. you can delay engagement from like 2000rpm to like 2600rpm of the drive for the 40 series with heaver pucks and springs , but thats more for being able to set your idle rpms higher it will not give you more low end torque
on the driven you can delay or speed up the shifting but again will not help you on low end torque.

INCREASING SPRING PRESSURE(hole 3) = higher r.p.m.'s prior to shifting,,,nothing to do w/ratio........LOWER SPRING PRESSURE(HOLE 1) = FASTER SHIFT TO HIGH GEAR,,,NOTHING TO w/raio.....either setting 1,2,3 affects back shifting(down shifting kinda) more than anything.....

If you set engagement RPM higher (again, DRIVER, not DRIVEN) it will pack a bigger punch off the line. There is no substitute for suitable gearing, with it will have more authority.
