Howdy.

Been thinking about building a kart for my boys to play with, so I decided to join up and check out the world of DIY karts.

Got some pretty good ideas of what to do (and what NOT to do) already from looking at this site.

Planning on building a 2 seat, 5hp or so. I had a red Manco 2 seater when I was a kid (~1980 or so) and drove the wheels off of it.

It's tough to maintain focus and not try to build a killer full suspended kart....

Gotta remember this is for the kids.

first order of business is a new welder. I think my 10 year old overworked MIG may have conked out last night.
