i have an older style go kart and there is a yellow engine on it , i have no idea make nor model as there is no model number on it the unit has a pulse jet carb attached to the tank another question i would like to know is there any way of removing this carb config and use an off engine tank connected via a fuel pump instead as the old tank is leaking

i took this thing apart i figured it was a briggy do to how well it has been running :) mostly starts without even pulling the choke but as of late its not running so well backfires a bit surges at full throttle sometimes without knowing what engine this is i cant repair it aside from perhaps a carb swap

if it has points ignition might just need a lil cleanning. if it had sat awhile moisture and dirt will set in on your contacts causing it to fire off side..backfiring irractic idle. its easy to test just take a nail file put it between the contacts of the points and use the pressure of the spring to clean them. just moving the nail file outwards. clean real good with strips of paper or a real good clean rag should run like a champ
