aircraft paint remover will take it right off.

i bet my mom will love that smell. lol. ive already been yelled at every time i go into the house because it smells like gas.

i wonder if it works outside... well its fvcking 11 degrees out today... i was driving my friends gas scooter and i literally froze my hands.

to give an example, i hit my hand against the plastic air cleaner while pull staring, and i was totally numb that i did not notice two fingers were slit and blood was splattered all over the pull start housing... lol... umm...

i know aresol cans might not work to well but i suppose it might be my only option.

Steel wool works good too, and it doesnt scratch the aluminum engine that much like a wire brush does sometimes.

yea well at this point im not afraid to dig into it a little to get that paint off... lol

ill probably use all the paint stripper i have on the block, rinse and repeat. the crank case cover is doing better though... i touched it and paint was falling off.

i can submerge the head in gas for a couple days, that should take the paint off pretty well.

ill ask my lawn shop to hone the cylynder for me since i dont have a hone device.

so its slowly coming along...

those diffs work fine. you dont need 4 bearings if you have the sprocket and wheels close to the bearings. also if you dont want much slip you can stuff it with thick greese that works well. always run it with all 4 bolts through the housing or the spider gears get messed up. dont weld it you can sell it for twice as much as a new straight axle if you ended up going that route

i might just use a riding mower axle. that way i can get reverse and some gears.

the diff uses a double D bore axle and i havent found any rims for it.
