nice! What are you planning on doing with it? Just putting around in the streets/dirt, or racing?

That's easy to say when you git pockets deep enough to do that. Don't let them bug ya, but at least see if your kart will even pass a tech exam. Will it be allowed to be raced? Are talking about racing sanctioned events, like at a track? They have lots of rules and such. Everything has to be up to date... Just food for thought.
What year is the chassis? Can you post some better pics? (turn your phone sideways) It may help us understand why everyone is so "hating" on your kart. May even your excitement is clouding your judgement on the aspect of things. If nothing else, that a bad @$$ kart to run the streets on!
Post better pics or a short video of the whole kart. Maybe we can point out the goods and the bads......

From what I've seen of competitive karting (a good friend of mine and his dad are the Praga karting dealers in the mid-atlantic), it's a massive money pit, tires are junk after a race, and if you don't have the latest and greatest kart/motor/set-up/etc., there's likely someone just as skilled with the latest everything.

I'd recommend making this into a quick, zippy street kart. Just my $.02!

I checked out your tracks website: http://www.sokarters.org/racing-rules/
It looks like they're going to have a fairly strict tech inspection your kart will have to pass before they'd even allow it on the track for a practice session.

If they wont allow your kart on the track, you should try posting a wanted ad on craigslist looking for other guys in your same situation. That's what I did when I got my first racekart. I ended up finding couple different groups of guys that raced at various parking lots around town, plus a few others that'd built some pretty cool tracks on they're own land.

The good thing is that if i cant race on the road course there is a dirt track too lol i think i eventually will get a good kart but gotta start somewhere. Like. Said this is mostly to get used to shifting and all the Good stuff. I mostly drive the 6hp indoor karts at the local business

so now im thinking of not usint the 4 stroke 110..i found an old cr80 engine for a great price but its a 1981.. so I think that it would be better and still get me used to shifting and all that great stuff I know its an older engine but I feel it would be better than the one in the pics I put up

I prefer 4 strokes so, this is just my opinion, others will vary:

Stick with the 110; the 4 stroke won't rev anywhere near as high as the CR80 but, it'll have bucketloads more low end torque, which is where you need it...

2 stroke engines rev high but, they don't produce any real torque until at least 5000rpm (often referred to as the power band), a 4 stroke power band is petering off by the same RPM but, the 2 stroke is in its wake...

Having said that, don't base your decision on my opinion alone, wait for a few others to chime in...

On 2 counts..... For a rookie, just stick with the 4 stroke.... You're just learning about how carburetors work, have you ever heard of a power reed? 2 strokes are a whole different animal. You're gonna be rebuilding that 2 stroke a lot more often than than the 4 stroke. 2stroke rebuilds usually consist of redoing the entire top end, every so many hours. The 4stroke rebuild consists of a whole rebuild (top and bottom) but last a lot longer.....
The second count is, you already have the 4stroke! Use it! Keep the money for the other stuff you need to get it rolling! Once it's up and running, you've gotten used to it, THEN upgrade to a bigger engine......
