my seat

hey guys, its been a while
ok so yah my process is a bit slow cuz of the school and work and all ... anyways im making this quick threat to see if someone could advice me

so my seat, i got it off an old 1999 jetta, for $ free.99 lol, so i took it off the car was too heavey ... anyways it all came down to using just the foams and the cloth


im planning to hammer the foams down with nail onto a strong piece of wood to make it stable, drill the wood, drill on the frame and bolts and nuts to hold them together

any ideas or suggestions ? i know its heavey but is it really too heavey, compared to a gokart seat, that i should consider something else ?

i like it cuz on the other hand its comfy and big
dont like it cuz its heavey and i have to mount it a bit on the right so the engine can get air

suggestions ? ideas ?

I have two ideas:

1) if you are really bent on using that seat ya have, cut some plywood to fit your area and build from there. Search aome threads a couple members have done this recently iirc.

2) measure your area and buy a riding lawn mower seat. They are small, lightweight, decently durable, and comfy. All ya have to do is drill some holes and bolt it on.

Really though its up to you.

Depending on how heavy your seat is the effect could be minimal.

you could get a cloth that feels good to the touch or some kind of fake leather thats durable.

i got the origial the one in the pic, it looks nice and divided.. how much does a gokart seat weigh ?

edit:and what should i do to change its colors?!
