Well, since I started doing more and more things to the kart I thought I would go ahead and make a build log
New Aluminum seat-back tank:

Header with Briggs muffler:

Today I started stripping the old paint off with aircraft remover and my pressure washer, (sorry about the fuzzy pics my phone wasnt cooperating):

Hopefully I can finish the stripping Wednesday morning before my goodies from NR-Racing get here:ninja: the kart will be getting painted Orange with rustoleum over a white primer and many of the bits and pieces will be polished up or re sprayed flat black.

Orange wasn't my first color choice I was going to paint it all flat black but then I found out that the original color on the cart was a gloss orange so thats why I chose to do it. plus my neighbor has a red kart so I wanted it to be different and the old paint looked like crap too lol

Got it painted this afternoon :bannana: I put a coat of white primer and then 3 coats of rustoleum orange on it and it's currently curing in my nice warm garage, so the assembly will begin tomorrow after a trip to Harbor Freight for some tool based goodness. I got some new bearings from a local bearing house and my order from NR-Racing got here around lunch time today and was installed not long after. I got new SS valves 18lb springs billet spring caps, 1.3 rockers and a guide plate. So far I have had 3 of my friends tell me I need to put a Clemson Tiger Paw on it lol,

Great build! Looks like it has punch power. Im doing a 6.5 clone build also. How much did you put into the aftermarket engine parts? Is that the stock carb with an extension or is it a swap?

Thanks for the compliments guys,
rgvkid, I think I have about $80 in the valve train upgrades from NR

racing and the carb is a Mikuni VM 24mm (IIRC) from an older dirt bike, I got the carb form a local motorcycle salvage yard for about $20 and I got the fuel pump off eBay for the same cost. I had the fuel line from an old jet-ski I had and the pulse line is some extra 1/4 inch air hose from a hose that had a messed up end which had to be cut off. The manifold/ adapter is a custom piece I make in-house in my machine/ fab shop.

I would be more than happy to make more is there is a demand for them, the price would be on a per job basis since no two would likely be the same but I would saw the price would be around the $60-80 range depending on your particular needs/ wants. :cheers2:
