looks like good fun. Try to find a way to lower it if you can. Also I think I read you can fill the tranny with grease to make them last longer.

I nearly peed myself watching you pull start it! Easy killer. Heck of a way to die. Speaking of dying- get a helmet!

Oh- for what it's worth, common misconception- A welded diff does not equal posi- Posi is short for Positraction, a limited slip differential system.

However, for off roading, a locked diff beats posi hands down!

Do yourself a favour and lower the center of gravity on that thing.

I loved the way he started it. I bet you 40 out 50 kids his age could not start that mower. Like my old man always said. If you cannot start it you cannot ride it.

I can pull start it without using my leg to help, but it is easier to do it this way. And once I did that and the rope snapped and I fell on my butt. I haft to pull start my 79 eltigre 5000 snowmobile, so this isent to bad

I'm new here...but not new to life. I can see you tend to belittle Karl with your context. He's a kid...back off. Make your suggestions but don't be so rude.

Easy killer- I had a giggle at the pullstart thing. The rest was all about him hopefully not getting hurt- Landing on your arse is funny. Rolling a mower at speed and getting injured is not. 'Scuse me for caring.

And for what it's worth- I have a lot of respect for a "kid" that's mechanically inclined and willing to do this sort of thing instead of being plugged into an XBOX 24/7.

Karl- if you took offence- I apologize. Wasn't intended that way. Keep on wrenching.

Its ok, its just semi-constructive criticizism. My older brother says I fail at everything and always calls my stuff crap, and me to, but at least I can have fun on it while he sits around.

Karl, Can you make your own back section under the seat to lower your seat some. Now you got it running time to make it look cooler than it already is.

Also get that pipe from sticking out the front. I can see you busting that off with damage to the engine block.

Thats a pretty good idea! Know that I think of it, I can lower the seat about 10- 12 in. But it might be hard to turn that low, maybe like 6in

post some still pics. I would love to help you come up with some ideas. I love this stuff. I see people put a motorcycle front ends on mowers like your.

I know people have gotten away with flipping the front axle upside down to lose a few inches. I think that would screw up the geometry, but it's an easy way to do it.

Eliminating the front axle pivot will largely increase the stability- just weld the beam on solid.
