Hey guys whats the haps?!
My name is Joe and I'm extremely excited to say that I am in the process of making my own go kart! Im from Australia, Im 16 and I always thought that building a go kart would be a great project for me but only after I received my graphics assignment did I know that I wanted to make one for sure. The assignment was to make a computer generated model of a go kart using AutoCad ( I had also seen and was able to inspect the schools go kart
) So i told dad that i wanted to make one and he's like "Ha! yeah go ahead" and his tone just told me that he thought i couldnt do it. Ill show him! But it has been difficult the whole way through seeing as though I've never built anything of this significance before. Ive had no knowledge of go karts before about 2 months ago, I've got absolutely no support from any one and I have never welded before and Im obviously on a very tight budget. So you can imagine the problems I've come across! Im picking up a 5.5hp honda clone this week and once i get that and a 1 inch axle, which i have no idea where to get, ill be finished the go kart
oh, and ive got the parts for the steering mechanism! So the photo (s) show what ive done so far and I'd love to get some feed back from you guys on your thoughts!
Cheers guys!
Joe
Ps: The wheels and things are just laid out in the photos, the first photo is everything Ive done
