Idea #1: Rotate pics before uploading so we don't end up with a sore neck after trying to look at them :)

Looking good so far (from what I can see without hurting my neck)

Yes- let's have some more detail on the DIY rack. I started work on one'a those a few years ago, then abandoned it for a pre-made unit I sourced.

My Rack and Pinion

Yea Sorry about the PICS by the time I realized it they were sideways....The rack and pinion idea is all me I didnt want to spend 100+ buck on one so I made one. It is basically a chain Welded to a sliding peice of metal that is turned by the small sprocket that you see. I could get more pics of it if you guys would like to see a better point of veiw of it.

Yes, I would like more pics. I'm particularly interested in the ratio you selected (sprocket size), what manner you used to pin the chain down against ANY unwanted movement, and what method you've employed to set/adjust the lash or play.

I will get you guys some new pics and I think that the drive is a 349cc motor with a series 40 torque converter to a jackshaft with 10 tooth to a 60 tooth on the axle. Turning 24in tires on back with 20s on front. It still has some reasonable pickup and acceleration.

I think toystory were talking about steering as for the gearing question toystory posted. Got any vids of you riding it around I know its not finished but you said it has decent pickup. Is it going to be a two seater as well

Here are some more pics of the steering and rear end. And no im sorry I do not have a video of me riding it but I can assure you that I have! It will be a two seater and Even with two people in it, It can whip the back end around when you get on the throttle. PLENTY OF POWER!:stir:

Just thinking out loud here but, you may want to rethink your engine setup; with the engine that high, your COG (centre of gravity) would be off the charts

I don't think that the engine is really going to affect the COG because of the shear size of my cart plus the passenger and the front end is quite heavy also.
