My next kart design

Considering a new fresh build. Let me know your thoughts.

Main frame is 1x2 wood pieces
Floorpan thin plywood
Front axle is a 2x4 centrally mounted pivot point
Steering is piece of rope looped side to side
Spindle is as many nails needed to hold lawn mower wheels on.
Seat is broken milk crate
Brake is my left foot rubbing front tire
Rear axle is piece of copper pipe
Rear wheels ??? Shopping cart perhaps
Engine has to be at least a 750cc to get it to move
Sprockets are from a kids bicycle
Fuel tank is milk jug duct taped to side of seat
Throttle cable is piece of string tied to right foot

Still workin on designing the pvc roll cage and where to mount battery and lights. Oh and the cup holder.

Did i miss anything important ?

Edit: Why not use a tide soap jug. It already has a bottom spout ready to fit the garden hose for the fuel line. dont forget the JBweld to secure it well.

What I like about that is you can just align the beaters on top of the rear wheel. ....no need for belts or chains....

No bendy straws???? You should look into that. .....

Hmmm..... adhesives....

I'm not sure that the finish nails alone will be enough (you were going to use them, and not brads, right?); I'm thinking about adhesives. One of the guy's at work brought in the local paper, and mart had an early back to school sales flier for things like glue sticks. You know, the same type you would use to assemble your paper craft's in art class (they still have them in your elementary school, right?).

You should only need two or three sticks of them, and the beauty is that they clean up with just water, even when they're dry.......

Glue, a very good idea. I also found a box of ice cream sticks to use and a few chop stix.

I forgot the exhaust. I came across a flexible dryer vent tube that i can make fit and shape.

I think id recommend a snow machine motor. Shipping is typically high, but there cheap and very common everywhere.
Oh, I almost forgot, wooden scrub brakes will be more than enough, I mean, don't be cheap and get some 2x4 block, use a good ol' seasoned oak or mahogany pallet board. Plenty good stopping in that.

Yeah. ....but a bit of overkill don't you think? ???? Besides. ..you have that piece of 2×4 left over from the front axle....why waste it????. After all. ...you have a PVC rollcage. ....so there's no danger of injuries should the brakes... (breaks???????.....now I'm confused).....fail.....AND A TUPPERWARE HELMET! !!!! What is this. ...an OSHA build?????
