Hello, I’m just a young middle age married guy w/teenagers and some motorized toys:yawn: My newest project has begun and I’ve found myself lurking around your electrical go kart section for the past few months. I’m sure to have some questions along the way, but until then I figured I’d join.:cheers2:

Can anyone give me the way to load pics directly off my phone? Edit: Nevermind it’s easy.

So what I’ve got is a 1986 Honda 200x atc/ converting it to 60v bldc electric motor.
There’s Not a lot of weight in the frame/swingarm or front forks- I have most/all I need to put it together, should be a fun project.

Shep

Thanks for the welcome in guys. I figure I’ll start a new thread in the electric section in a couple wks, gotta get my papers sorted for our taxes first, not looking forward to it.
I figure you kart guys like pics so here’s a couple of my other hobby. Sand casting (forge, smelting) aluminum.

Cool hobby to get into but it is dangerous at times.
Thanks for looking,
Shep

Cool castings! Pretty darn clean for diy sand-cast! I used to work around sand, lost wax, and lots of other metal fabrication (not doing it, selling it) and I've always envied the skill of metal workers of all types.

Plus, who doesn't like playing with fire?!?

I love the casting. If you like, there is a section on the forum for "More builds" or "Fun stuff" which you could maybe showcase anything you are doing that is non kart related. We like seeing anything different
