I can kind of relate. My brother loves to sing, but my God is he poorly off key. He's gone deaf and actually thinks he's good. Grew up with him doing this for 20+ years, never did tell him he's way off key. Rather someone else do it instead...i like to keep the jewels where they are at, and not force fed them to me.

I think a straight pipe engine is in order to drown him out.

Annnnnd....here's the delimea.... Is it YOU or him?

Our dad agrees it's him that's off key. I don't sing either because I know for a fact I'm off key and I'd rather not embarrass myself in that way. I have many other ways to do it.

Well I'm miles from him now. I'll go listen to the crazies sing on 6th street Austin tonight. Most of them are pretty good.

Robert,
Blues fest. Uber, lyft, petty cab maybe. I'm staying near 6th street downtown. I'll walk. Only a couple miles. Across congress bridge, watch the bats. Then over to the festival.

Enjoy....most people don't actually realize the numbers and extreme depth of talent of Texas blues players.

We have some of the best in the world. Stevie Ray Vaughn for one....a hometown hero, and one I missed jamming with by inches.

Anyway, you should see top - notch artists, and if you are a blues aficionado, you will be blown away.

I used to go to a restaurant on Sundays, and there were National artists playing for tips.

THEY WERE GOOD!!! ( I've been playing for over 35 years, I may not be awesome, but I can recognize a git-fiddle player that is.)

Here's the short list : of course: Stevie Ray Vaughn. B. B. KIng...( he IS the KING!) Johnny Winter.

In a way: Steve Winwood. I always thought " Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" had a blues feel to it, even though it seemed to be a bit jazzy. But it was one of those formative songs, that will always live in my psychologists nightmares.

( Not really!) Nothing wrong with ME....or that song.

Soooo...let's just hit rewind, and forget....

Of course....IF FOR ANY REASON , you don't WANNA, can you say : " Whoops!"

Keep playing man, you'll be the pride of Texas some day. You might have to change the White Settlement location if you want to go mainstream. "Parts Unknown Texas" would work. :)
