alrite cadman. i did think about doin the 3 pedal setup but was more hassle so all ive done is have the clutch on my wheel like padle shift. used a motorcycle clutch lever as clamps to the steering rack nicely not the best idea :idea2: but does the trick  cool to see you are doin the same? have you got a tread on it?

Guess whos got 2 sets of hydraulic disc brakes for sale? :roflol:

I've been debating clutch setup myself lately on my kart, and i decided to go with foot clutch for a few reason, first of all i like the feel better, and second motorcycle engines will up shift just fine without using the clutch, just let off the gas up shift then keep on going. I'm working on my second shifter kart (first was more of a learning experience haha), so i have a good idea of what i like and what i dont like. The first one used a 100cc 4 stroke, didnt have much power, and had some weak links. I used a clutch lever on the shifter handle, and didnt mind it but it could have been better. The second one (in progress) is going to be powered by a kz400 twin bike engine, with clutch pedal, and some improvements over my first design.

hi yer snds like a good idea but think i am going to try the 3 pedal setup first and havent got a thread on it as of yet as this was my mates dads kart and he just left it in da back of his garden for 16 years and he gave it me last week so needs a lot of cleanin up but think of getting frame powdercoated as dont really want to paint it

yes i was going to do the same with myn but its a pain getin all the old powdercoat off and the original engine was mounted by 4 holes drilled thre the frame and mounted via the footpeg holes and a brakcet welded for the rear mount i think i myt just use them or get solid plate welded to frame and drill the holes that way i will take some pics today and get them on but its noffing pretty i'll tell you lol

lol yea its defo a b***h to get it off took me hours :ack2: i bought a ali kart mount off ebay works great :wai: been testing all weekend for first time :wai: had a few minor probs. was running lean so sorted that out and then chain come loose. but was quite surprised that was all the issues i had :D still running the engine in so can give it too much throttle just yet but she flys :wai: performance wise im realy surprised (everyone kept saying it would be slow and i should get a 2stroke) what was thay thinking? so much torque for a 140cc. can smoke the tyres up just with half throttle :idea2: i will try get some videos done next weekend :idea2:
