here are some pics of my kart. its a modified taylor dunn stock chaser. a 2hp GE motor and taylor dunn controller, it has forewords and reverse, solar panels for trickle charging and a tow hitch for a trailer.... the series wound motor has a crap load of torque and can easily pull a few hundred pounds. the kart is good for about 10 miles without taking the battery voltage under 11.4v per batt (3x 75 apm hour deep cycle batts for a 36v system) its got headlights too for sneaking around at night, the thing is utterly silent other then the chain noise and the motor whine if you going fast, itll do like 22/23mph on flat ground, i have a 16 tooth motor sprocket that will go like 30mph on flat ground but at the expense of off the line torque. and i like the torque for off road duty.
