i just finished my go kart.

The spesfications are:

6.5 HP engine
12 Tooth Centrifugal Clutch
60 Tooth Single wheel drive

Wheels are 12.5" tall.

It only goes at 45KMH, or 27 MPH

When i first start going i can easily step on it and burn my wheels out it has alot of torque.

Is my engine capeable of more speed??? gokart weighs about 60-70 pounds and the rider is around 120

If it is should i get bigger tires or smaller sprocket??? Thanks!

Depends on what your doing with your cart. If its off road get bigger tires if its on road get smaller sproket. If it a kid riding it and they will get bigger just get the wheels for now and when they get bigger and need power switch to the smaller tires.

you burn the tires with a normal clutch, (no torque convertor)??

damn that's some great response! I wouldn't think that would be possible on that. 12 and 50? Your top end should be, what, 40 MPH or so?

no not that, just the steering. when you get up to 35 mp/h each bump in the road makes the front wheels either want to go left or right. ive gotta try and hold it still. and plus the engine behind me at 3500 rpm
