These guys are cute. These guys are evil. These guys are a real PITA , ( sound familiar?)

Typical household pet. Or is it pest?

No...check out hooded rats. They are MUCH better pets than pit bulls.

She's 5' long can and has snuggled into a size 12 shoe...Loose rats are easier to deal with.

They usually come back. Loose snakes have to be tracked down !!! (It's taken as long as a month!)

I dealt with rats in my Phoenix house, the posts are on here. Now I live in the seriously wild west AKA New River, AZ. There are large, aggressive field mice out here. They are adorable but they are a nuisance. I just discovered the best way to kill them. It happened by accident as most brilliant things do. I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye after I put most of my tools in the garage and was showing a friend over some beers. The mouse hid behind some things near the wall. We tried to flush him out with a broom and some shouting- it didn't work. So all of a sudden he was hiding behind my double burner camp stove which was stored in its vertical position near the wall, I could see him from above. For a brief moment I considered how to block one end and catch him at the other. Then like lightening it hit me! I kicked the camp stove and smashed him against the wall, he never saw it coming. I threw his body into the desert and went about my way. 2 nights later, another mouse behind my small toolbox, same story! 100% proven effective kill routine.

But, besides a good ol fashioned Victor, a 33 gallon plastic trash can with bird seed in the bottom will wipe them all out in one swipe.

Oh...so I decided to close that door off with a twist tie. Before I could do it, one of those little demons snatched it from me!!!

Use citrus oils (lemon, orange) mix 10-1 (w/ water or coconut oil) and spray around openings, baseboards, in cabinets and crawl spaces. You can also use mint oil. I have pet Ratties, I have to watch what I use for cleaning, they HATE the smell.

Have you tried the tin can on a wire over a pail of water trick? I don't really have mice around my house, but I know plenty of farmers who catch them by the dozens (or more) in their barns with that method, and I used it at work to catch a particularly clever mouse that evaded all other traps and poisons.

I have a live trap. It's worked a couple of times when one of them gets stubborn.

I let George out all the time. He'll run around exploring for a while, then come back to me.

OMFG, the fillbole style trap I set caught yet another bird, and of course its some dang bird my gal liked seeing in the yard and now she's ****ed at me like I trapped birds on purpose, this is typical life, set out to do one thing, get totally different results

Put the trap in a cage, dummy. Rats will go right in, where birds fear to tread.

BTW, I used to catch birds with rat traps all the time when I was younger. Problem is, they aren't discriminatory, so, I prefer a rifle now.

BTW, Not a dove, not a grackle, not sure what it is, only what it isn't.

i just threw the birds out in the desert so the coyotes can snack, yeah it wasn't a dove, more like a curved bill thrasher, well for sure its a DEAD bird
