Besides, I can't remember the last time I heard of someone getting a ticket from a fireman.
Was that it?

Loophole: I know the chief of a Wildland fire dept that is also trained as a ranger, so occasionally he does traffic stops. :lolgoku:

Talk of underpaid professions always brings up the example: Why are those protecting the pigskin earning millions of dollars whilst those protecting our county are not?

 You just hit that nail square on the head; the question I've been pondering is if it's just a big, stand alone problem, or just a symptom of something much, much worse that has yet to raise it's head.....:surrender:

The quarterback of my favorite team just signed up for $100 million. No doubt that is OVERPAID. But it doesn't bother me. It's just the free market at work.

The people that defend the country are paid by money I am forced into letting loose of. I'm not forced to pay any football players salary. Football is entertainment-you never hear anybody complaining about the millions made at the box office by the latest movie.

I wish that military personnel earned football players salary, but I can't afford to pay them what they earn now, because the government can't manage MY money.

I tell you, say one thing and it just goes to some people's heads. I said hero, not Super hero. It does bring up some questions though:

Does TS4wd have to use a phone booth when changing into Doc Sprocket?

Which one wears the cape?

Will Doc get a sidekick like Boy Socket 10mm?

No- just a creeper, a can of Fluid film, and a little corner of my garage (tight costume... LOL)

No capes. Some grimy overalls, and a ratty, emblazoned shop rag. Got a big DS under that deep ATF stain. Hope it's ATF. Could be blood.:worried2:

Maybe 3/8". I may be in a metric world, but I still prefer to work in imperial. Probably my age showing.

Nurse Ratchet? :roflol:

What's really amusing, is that I could say "who?" There's no proof this dude ever existed... Bwahahahaha!

That's a really good argument. I've never really though of it that way.

However, one could argue that you do pay football players wages, simply by watching their games, either on TV or at a stadium & that's your choice...

LOL... Smart@ss...

:toetap05: pardon me?

'sid ;)

Take that as a compliment Sid

Fabroman-
You missed the point by a hair. When I watch a football game or a movie, I know I'm paying not only the players salaries but every one and every thing involved. It's that I have the choice whether to do that or not. That's a direct cause and effect. The governments money isa mandatory deduction from mine and I have little control over what they do with it and little agreement with what they do with it.
