toy story you will need a billet rod the is the weak point, if the motor turns over 4k you will break the rod, just spend 60 bucks and get a billet rod also i would by a flat top piston well you at it.

rod

flat top

also the rings that came with the motor can be used, but if you used the engine before to break it in, then i wouldn't risk using the piston wist pin clips again. i have built my modded clone still have to start it and people over a oldminibike.com said that the billet rod is mandatory

Some how, I havent even noticed the lack of a billet rod. I used my wrist pin clips over...

@newrider- Really? I stand corrected- I've never seen one with plastic lobes. Now I gotta go find a pic.
@jareeB- A billet rod's probably not a bad plan, but NO, I will NOT blow a rod turning over 4k. It's bunk. Yes, the rod is a weak point, and yes, at the higher RPM the stock rod gets questionable. 4k is not high enough.

I forget where, but I have seen a plastic cam before. Do they use rollers on the end of the push rods??

well if thts how u fel then y dont u jst not by a clon cause the qualite of the cst is sht aparently mny of us hav had grate luck wth clon engins even moded 1s.

As read by Google Translator:

Well, if that's how you feel about these clone engines, don't buy a clone. Many of us have had great luck with these clones, even once they have been heavily modded. I would not shy away from one, as I know it will be well maintained (by me).

Not a problem, some issues annoy me beyond belief. I understand we aren't all fluent English speakers, but at least make an attempt.
