i have looked at a stick welder welding briefly, apparently it doesnt damage your eyes unless you look at the weld, but i am not going to take the chance!

ps that is probably not true, so dont go trying it

I accidentally stared straight at a 90 amp flux core on high once, it wasnt that bad it was only a second.

well , I didn't do the welding my self cos I don't know how to weld
I the one wearing a black t-shirt btw
So after i went home and slept , i woke up and my eyes was burning like hell
but its now better

Thats why they make safety glasses and sheilds lol. Clear glasses alone would reflect most of the heat but when welding I wouldnt go anything under a shade 10 lense. When your eyes burn after watchin the weld its call flash burn or arc burn. Its like staring at the sun with binoculars! I flash myself (or coworkers flash me) with 400+ amps on a daily basis. Youll be fine as long as u keep it to a minimum. Dont use eye drop or fresh vegetables lol or vicks or any nonsense like that to try and heal them faster. Sleep and pain pills is the best remedy.

so enough talking about the welding and sheilds, whats happening with the gokart, would like to know what your going to do with it and wat motor (if any) and its a nice frame, looks like the one im making, just needs some wirebrushing and some nice paint and this kart should look SICK!!!

and looking at the weld hurts like a female dog, and leaves u blind in a spot for a few minutes,

about to build my kart and mini kart soon but need to get some axles and other parts and cant forget the wheels, but having trouble getting them, quite annoying,
so would really like to see more progress on this kart, so what do he should paint it, hmmmmmm maybe a red with green what do u guys think?

and we still have to deside on a colour!! lol
