The electrode type is 6013, thats what the E stands for, it should also be printed on the individual electrodes in black ink near the bare end.

And by your pic, your going way too fast, if you look at the left part of it, you can see "arrows" which is a sign that your travel speed is too high, try going slower and they should look better

No, I never ment it sounded like a 12 volt welder. The name sound's like a welder you'd plug into the 12 volt plug also used for lighter's.

Your trying to burn a 6013 rod like a 7018, try to jack your rod e.g. hold your rod in one spot for about 1 second then pull forwards about an 1/8" and go back in and hold for 1 second, do that continously. That is called jacking your rod.
