First of all i want to apologize myself for my bad english its not my first language.

over a year ago after seeing some youtube video about the neuroti electric kart i decided to build my ow one.

I ordered the basic parts for my kart.

A motenergy 0709 engine
a alltrax spm 48500 controler
and 4 12 volt 50ah deepcycle batteries.

And the searche started for a suitable donor go-kart.
due to some familie affairs and personal issue's i was not able to build my electric go-kart.
a couple months ago i ran into a cheep rolling chassis.
with only some cosmetic issue's.

i starten welding the battery holders in place.
[/IMG]

a week or to ago i started to wire the go-kart

putting the engine on and use a 1/2 chain

and added a small control panel.

last weekend a continued the winring and added the battery's

at the moment i only waiting for the f/r switch witch i was forgotten to order with my engine/controller.

all in all it was a expansive but nice and some times dificult project so far.

I'm about to begin assembly on a similar 48V race kart project and wanted to ask what settings you planned on using when programming the controller? Specifically, what will you set as the maximum current draw? Momentarily at startup, these motors will pull a lot of amps, so it seems a set of 50 AH batteries would get depleted quickly with acceleration. I am thinking of setting mine to a maximum 100A draw, giving approximately 45 min of spirited use with a similar set of batteries.

Will you be charging the batteries with a 48V charger? I was planning on picking up a charger for a utility cart or golf cart, but didn't know if there were better options.

Keep up the good work!
