A few pics of the cooler racer I'm building. Still in the early stages, obviously. The wheels/tires are just for setting it up, as I continue to wait for my wheels and tires to be shipped!

Got some more done on the cooler racer I'm building. Got the rear axle components figured out and the steering components completed and all hooked up. Also got the engine in and added a new intake and exhaust. Also added a larger jet and emulsion tube to the carb. Engine fired up on first pull.

Coming along nicely. I like the look with the
8" rims.

Thanks! I wanted some nice looking aluminum wheels (still 8"), but they were on a continuous back-order (since November of last year!), so I found these on Craigslist and snatched them up. Not having wheels delayed the build for a couple of months. Going to paint the front wheels black too.

Finished, Except for paint!

Just got my cooler racer finished up today! Many thanks to all who helped me with my questions along the way. I can say that this thing exceeds my expectations! It has great torque, acceleration, and top speed. It also turn great, especially if you lean!

Here are some pictures, and there's a URL to it in action on Youtube too!

The brakes on it are terrible, although the brake cable is just held on with zip ties right now - including at the end where the cable connects to the brake arm. Might have to go with a hydraulic brake.

Very cool. Also you might want to consider a cover on the Tc, it could pull a shirt in and cause bodily damage.

You might have to put a foot lever on the brakes, as that will transfer more leverage to the arm..
I have found you also might have to sand the pads and rotor to bed them in properly.
