looks like at least..
but if the black enigne mount isn't floating but instead was welded to the frame (factory?)
chances are it's not.

Wheel on the seat is certainly a rupp turbine,
can't see the axle hangers (such plates in slotted tubes have been used by rupp, clark, bug at times and a few others)
And frankly I wouldn't be able to tell Rupp hangers apart from Clark's tbh..
at least to me they look perfectly identical :(

Anywys..
that looks like a very nice kart (1969 Rupp A-Bone or not)
and fully restored will be a blast to ride and a gem to any collection (if done correctly)

Looks like a RUPP D-300 with a "floating" motor mount and another (center axle) sprocket added later.
Nice find.

YES!!
totally forgot about the D-300 (the early yard karts Rupp made..)

cool thing about it: it's perfectly correct to mount a 5hp briggs,
no need to go and find a terribly expensive Mac10 or WB820

it's not as 'collectible' maybe..
but surely is of the same bred as a true Lancer series A-Bone
And as such it should be just as good.

and for 100 bucks a real steal :D

I don't know where the name comes from, but it's called a "floating" or a "swing" motor mount.
Here's a picture of one (not mine). But it "floats?" or goes around the rear axle with bearings.

For $100, you did good. Your steering wheel alone goes for more than that.

You have a good start to having a FUN Go Kart.
